What A Doggone Good Place

Pets are popular and research show they lower our blood pressure.
The benefit of pet therapy is so profound.

For the pet lovers among us, what is the first thing your dog would always do when he or she saw you coming home at the end of a hard day? The dog would wag its tail and be so happy to see you. My two dogs, Cici and Lucky, do this for me every night when I come home.
We have two beautiful dogs, Max and Lady (our RN, Sheri Hinkel’s kids’). These doggies come every week, visiting, playing ball and doing exercises with the Residents. Thank You Kids!
Hickory Villa has a little friend, her name is Lily. She is one of our Resident’s pet. When she sees you coming, her little tail starts wagging and she bounces all over place. Lily is a happy playful little dog.

Community Involvement

One of the things we are most proud of is our involvement in the community. St. Magdalene Mary’s School, under the leadership of Linda Coates, has been wonderful. They come in on a monthly basis to interact, entertain and spend time with our Residents. With the help of a generous donation from the students, our flower gardens are planted and thriving.
For “May Day,” Stacia Vawter, from Modern Woodmen of America Youth Clubs, brought in a group of wonderful kids to help out and make photo albums, “May Day Cards” and deliver “May Day Baskets” to each Resident. Thank you everyone! --Norma Arias, Activity Director
